Fax/Data/Voice (FDV) Call Discriminator

Call discriminator is required in a Voice / Media Gateway to provide transparent service for various types of calls. FDV is used to detect and classify the call type as voice, fax, or data call so that the system can handle with appropriate functional module

• CT (Call Tone) signal as defined in V.25 and
• CI/CM (Call indicator/Call Menu) signals as defined in V.8 standard
• ANS/ANSam signals of V.25 and V.8 standards respectively
• Detection of Fax calls based on the
• CNG (Call Tone) signal as defined in T.30 and
• CI/CM (Call indicator/Call Menu) signals as defined in V.8 standard
• Detection of Voice calls based on activity on the line
• Reentrant, multi-channel implementation
